School children find out more about World War 2 and the blue plaques
On Monday 19th October, Year 6 children from Harbury Primary School visited the Heritage Centre to find out more about Harbury in World War 2 as part of their curriculum.
After a short presentation the group set off on a guided tour around the village to identify a number of the blue plaques, particularly those relevant to the Harbury men who died in WW2.
The photograph shows them at Binswood End where Ernest Field's father worked as a blacksmith. Ernest died just 2 weeks before the end of the war. The plaque is situated on the site of the old forge. (now Old Forge House).
