World War 2 VE Day Commemoration - BIG success!

On Sunday May 11th, 60+ guests attended the official unveiling of the latest blue plaques mounted around the village to honour more of Harbury's fallen heroes of both world wars. A champagne reception in the community library was followed by a short service at the war memorial given by Reverend Andy. Guests then had the opportunity to walk around the village to view the plaques; before returning for tea and cakes back at the library. Local councillors and relatives of the servicemen were among those who attended the event.

Relatives of Charles Bird are shown, as well as the service at the war memorial.
